The Czech Republic hit six goals past Bulgaria in Prague to take a place in the World Cup play-offs.

It only took the Czechs five minutes to score and Vratislav Lokvenc was on hand for a running finish after a neat through pass by received a fine through pass from Tomas Rosicky.

Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved smashed in a fifteenth minute free kick with Milan Baros adding the third in the 28th minute when he reached a cross from the left to clip in a finish.

A header from Lokvenc after a powerful jump hit the target in the 67th minute and two minutes later Rosicky hit the fifth goal with a well laced drive.

Nedved ended the scoring with his second of the night with a dipping shot.
