It has come to my attention that tickets for the above football matches are being offered for sale on the message board at your website address www.wldcup.com/tickets.

The above legislation makes it a criminal offence “for an unauthorised person to sell, or offer or expose for sale, a ticket for a designated football match in any public place or place to which the public has access or, in the course of a trade or business, in any other place”

The matches referred to above are ‘designated matches’ for the purposes of the Act and the persons offering the tickets for sale have not been authorised by The F.A. to offer for sale tickets for these or any other matches.

Moreover, the terms and conditions applying to the supply of The F.A.’s tickets state that a ticket will become void and there will be no right for a purchaser to enter the stadium nor claim a refund if The F.A. has reason to believe that the ticket is to be or has been either:

a) supplied in contravention of the above or any other legislation, or

b) sold to another at a higher price than its face value

Please could you ensure that:

a) you have removed the relevant messages from your website, and

b) you will in future no longer permit any person to offer for sale tickets for any Football Association events, including England team matches, F.A. Cup matches and the F.A. Community Shield.
