Young striker Raul Tamudo will be the replacement for injured Fernando Morientes in tomorrow's friendly match between Spain and Germany in Hannover.
Whith coach Jose Camacho's call up the 23 year old RCD Espanyol player has won his first cap, though he has always been one of the most important players in Inaki Saez under 21 team writes Rafael Salido. Tamudo is a quick goalscorer and last season his impressive performances lead Espanyol to win the Copa del Rey.
Tamudo's debut follows Camacho's decision to change radically the Spanish national team after its disappointing performance in Euro 2000. After Morientes got injured playing against Sporting Lisbon last week the Spanish media expected that Ismael Urzaiz would be called once more but Camacho wants to break with the past and so Tamudo has joined Victor, Manuel Pablo and Esteban to make four possible debuts against Germany.
