England coach Kevin Keegan is to lead the national team back to his former club Anfield for a 2002 World Cup qualifier next March.
Finland are the Group Nine opposition in England's first World Cup match away from Wembley since 1961.
The old stadium is to be demolished in October and completely rebuilt for a 2002 opening.
Aston Villa will host a February 28th friendly against Spain with the final game at the old Wembley being the World Cup qualifier between England and Germany on October 7.
Keegan made his name as a Liverpool player in the 1970s and helped them to a 1977 European Cup win.
Manchester United's Old Trafford, Sunderland's Stadium of Light and Newcastle's St James's Park - where Keegan also played and managed - are in contention to stage England's remaining two home qualifying games next year.
