South Africa have brought in Carlos Queiroz as new national team coach.
The South Africans had been reviewing candidates since the African Nations Cup in February aand have settled on the former Sporting Lisbon coach from Portugal.
The 47 year old has a contract to end of the World Cup finals in 2002 and begins qualifying campaign matches with South Africa in January next year.
Queiroz will begin working with the team in November and will replace current coach Trott Moloto.

The current coach will stay on to work with Queiroz as an assistant and will be in charge of the squad for the African nations Cup qualifier on September 3rd in the Congo. South Africa also host France in a Johannesburg friendly on October 7th.
Queiroz coached Portugal's national team from 1991 to 1993 and the UAE in 1999 for one year.
