France add Cameroon to African trip

World and European champions France have added to their African tour by confirming a match on October 4th in Cameroon.

France have already booked in to play South Africa at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg on October 7th but three days before that they will play African nations Cup holders Cameroon in West Africa.

The matches are the first stage of a lengthy friendly schedule for the World Cup holders which is still being prepared. The French know that their next competitive match is on May 31st 2002 in Seoul at the start of the next World Cup and the defence of their world title. Until then they will be playing friendly matches.

France host England at the Stade de France on September 2nd in a friendly.
