AC Milan eye £10 million Baseggio

AC Milan want to sign Anderlecht star Walter Baseggio.

The 22 year old play making talent has an Italian passport but Chelsea have already failed with an £8 million bid for the player last month.

Anderlecht are not keen to sell the player while they remain in the Champions League but Milan believe the young Belgian international can be a worthy replacement for the ageing Zvonomir Boban in their midfield and are prepared to pay £10 million to capture him when the Italian transfer season opens next week.
