AC Milan to sign TSV star Agostino
First Published: Nov 28, 2000AC Milan are to sign TSV 1860 Munich's Australian striker Paul Agostino.
The Bundesliga club value Agostino at around £15 million says president Karl-Heinz Wildmoser but the Italian club are preparing an £8 million offer for the player who holds an Italian passport through relatives. The deal is likely to go through in the next two weeks according to TSV coach Werner Lorant.
The Italian transfer season opens next month for one week and Milan and want to help top scorer Andriy Shevchenko by adding a more mobile partner for the Ukrainian into their attack.
Lorant has told German television that Agostino will be leaving TSV by the time the winter break starts for German clubs in December.
