Borussia Dortmund are keen to sign Anderlecht star Jan Koller.
The Czech international striker could replace the stricken Heiko Herrlich who is battling to recover from a brain tumour.
The Bundesliga club have already agreed to sign Jan Derek Soerensen in the mid winter break and now want a striker.
The Ruhr Valley giants floated on the German stock market last month and have seen their share price hit by doubts about their goal scoring ability now that Herrlich has dropped out of the squad.
A striker is a priority for Dortmund but Fulham were told last week that the 6'7" Koller would cost £10 million to sign.
The Germans may start by offering £8 million for Koller who was linked with Liverpool and Newcastle in the summer.
