New Brazil star Ewerthon has offers from Italy

New Brazil star Ewerthon makes his debut for the national team tonight and already has offers to join Juventus and AC Milan in the summer.

FC Barcelona have also contacted the player's manager Manuel Ferrer and watched the striker play for Corinthians but Ferrer says his teenage prospect is expected to join an Italian club.

Brazil have already lost to Paraguay, Chile and Ecuador in the World Cup qualifiers and last night's 2-1 win for Ecuador's nine men against Paraguay in Quito is making a difficult qualification round even tougher.

Sao Paolo club Corinthians have won their last ten matches under former Brazil coach Wanderley Luxemburgo with Ewerthon earning good reviews.

He is not regarded as a top level striker yet with Ronaldinho and Adriano considered more developed Leao will pair him with Romario who is old enough to be Ewerthon's father in tonight's game against Peru.

Ewerthon has played alongside Adriano in the Brazil under-20 team that won the South American title last year in front of several European scouts. He has scored six goals so far and has eighteen months left on his contract with Corinthians who have interest from Juventus and Milan in the striker.
