Polish international goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek is to join Liverpool after Feyenoord agreed to sell their unsettled star for £4.85 million.
But the player may not be registered ahead of the Champions League squad deadline tomorrow unless Liverpool delay medical checks and apply for a work permit for the goalkeeper next week.
The clubs have been negotiating a fee for the former Arsenal transfer target since the weekend as the Anfield club look to replace Dutchman Sander Westerveld who is being offered to Ajax Amsterdam.
The 28 year old Dudek is in Warsaw on duty with Poland as they look to qualifying for the 2002 World Cu finals on Saturday with a win over Norway and may be registered by Liverpool tomorrow with the transfer still to be completed.
