Sukur frozen out at Ronaldo's Inter

First Published: Aug 31, 2001

Internazionale have left Turkish striker Hakan Sukur out of their squad list for European matches in the UEFA Cup.

Sukur has had interest recently from Fulham and his career at Inter may be close to over after the omission by coach Hector Cuper from the squad to try and win the UEFA Cup.

With Ronaldo, Italian international Christian Vieri and Kalou all now fit there is no room for the Turkish international in the Inter squad and they are looking to sell the former Galatasary star.

The recent emergence of Brazilian youth Adriano in the Inter squad a month after his arrival from Flamengo has also helped to ensure Sukur's exclusion.

The Inter training camp at Appiano Gentile this afternoon stages a training game with some fans attending featuring players not on World Cup duty this week. Adriano is to lead the attack for one team against a selection headed by Ronaldo.
