Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is facing a misconduct charge if the English FA decide he must be punished for his attempt to confront referee Graham Poll after last night's Premiership defeat by Newcastle.
The 3-1 win for Bobby Robson's team put them on top of the Premiership on goal difference from Liverpool but Arsenal were angered by a red card in the first half for midfielder Ray Parlour and then livid when Poll penalised a tackle by Sol Campbell on Laurent Robert which saw Alan Shearer scorefrom the penalty spot for the decisive second goal late in the game.
Policemen, players and Arsenal physio Gary Lewin had to physically restrain Henry at the end of the game in ugly scenes that could see him punished.
The first stage of the disciplinary process is for the match referee to include the incident in his match report and Poll confirmed after the game that he would:
