Spain and Brescia star Josep Guardiola faces a possible 12 month ban from football after failing two dope tests.
Guardiola tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone in October and November and is currently banned while facing discilinary action.
That could be heavily influenced by the Italian Olympic Commitee (CONI) recommending a a 12 month ban.
Italy's anti-doping prosecutor Giacomo Aiello has asked for the ban and a $90,000 fine and a six month period of intensive drug tests after his return.
The 30 year old has threatened to quit laying if he is banned for a long time.
