Parma AC are keen to bring PSV Eindhoven midfielder Dennis Rommedahl to Italy next season.
The 22 year old Dane impressed the Parma club in the first leg of their UEWFA Cup fourth round tie last week.
PSV value Rommedahl at £7 million but he has only recently established himself in their first team after two years at the club and a loan spell at RKC.
New Denmark coach Morten Olsen is set to make the attacking midfielder a regular in the 2002 World Cup campaign after an impressive debut last August.
Rommedahl played less than twenty matches for Lyngby before a transfer to Holland organised by Frank Arnesen and he helped PSV to win the Dutch title last season.
