Germany name squad to face France next week

Germany have introduced three new players to face World and European champions France in Paris next week.

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Frank Rost and the club's star defender Torsten Frings are both included as is Kaiserslautern striker Miroslav Klose.

Germany have seen several regulars such as Jens Jeremies and Stefan Beinlich ruled out with injuries from the friendly in France.

France will name their squad for the match later this week as they prepare for the 2002 World Cup finals. Already 900 goals have been scored in World Cup qualification.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Oliver Kahn (Bayern Munich) and Frank Rost (Werder Bremen).

Defenders - Frank Baumann, Torsten Frings (both Werder Bremen), Joerg Heinrich, Christian Woerns (both Borussia Dortmund), Thomas Linke (Bayern Munich), Marko Rehmer (Hertha Berlin) and Christian Ziege (Liverpool).

Midfielders - Michael Ballack, Carsten Ramelow (both Bayer Leverkusen), Marco Bode (Werder Bremen), Dietmar Hamann (Liverpool), Jens Jeremies, Mehmet Scholl (both Bayern Munich) and Dariusz Wosz (Hertha Berlin).

Strikers - Oliver Bierhoff (AC Milan), Carsten Jancker (Bayern Munich), Miroslav Klose (Kaiserslautern) and Oliver Neuville (Bayer Leverkusen).
