Kanu's agent denies quit claims

Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu's agent has denied issuing an ultimatum to manager Arsene Wenger over the Nigerian's future at the London club.

Frank Sedoc called the BBC this morning to deny newspaper reports that he was asking for Kanu to play in tonight's Champions League match at home to Olympique Lyon or he would help the 24 year old striker find another club.

Kanu did not make the Arsenal team that beat Chelsea in Sunday's FA Cup 5th round tie after starting in a 1-0 win over the French club last week.

This prompted Sedoc's camp to start leaks over Real Madrid's interest in signing Kanu in the summer but Sedoc is denying the newspaper claims although he would not deny the links with Real Madrid.

Kanu is one of four strikers at Arsenal involved in squad rotation.

Substitute Sylvain Wiltord scored twice to beat Chelsea on Sunday after complaining about his lack of first team chances and is still not happy with his place in the Arsenal squad but coach Wenger will continue with his policy after recent successes.
