Newcastle's Dyer withdraws from England squad

Newcastle United have withdrawn midfielder Kieron Dyer out of the England squad announced yesterday by new coach Sven Goran Eriksson.

Left sided star Dyer has long standing problems with his shins and reported problems during and after today's Premiership defeat by Manchester City.

Dyer will be removed from the 31 man squad later tonight by Newcastle after medical checks on Dyer. Their 20 year old striker Shola Ameobe will also fail to join up with the under-21 squad after hurting his back.
