AS Roma will send star striker Gabriel Batistuta for knee tests tomorrow after their 2-0 win at Vicenza.
Roma's six point lead in Serie A was kept in place by the away win - second place Juventus outclassed AC Milan 3-0 in Turin tonight - but further knee problems for Batistuta were evident when he limped away from play to be replaced by Vincenzo Montella.
Batistuta fell badly at the end of the first half and the 32 year old has endured knee pain for the last three seasons.
Roma coach Fabio Capello says Batistuta - the club's record signing at £22 million - cannot play three times a week any more at age 32.
Capello told the press after today's win that the striker had not aggravated an old injury but pulled a collateral ligament in his knee.
