AS Monaco make bid for Di Biagio

AS Monaco have offered Internazionale £5 million for midfielder Luigi Di Biagio.

The former AS Roma left sided midfielder joined Inter in 1999 but is no longer a first team regular after playing in the World Cup finals in 1998 for Italy and being taken to Euro 2000 by coach Dino Zoff.

Inter have signed Stephane Dalmat from PSG this week and may decide to off load Di Biagio to the French side. His sale would help them to meet River Plate's valuation of their lay maker Pablo Aimar after River refused a £15 million offer for Aimar from Valencia today.

Inter have also tabled a £6 million offer with Perugia for former Eberton centre back Marco Materazzi after he attracted interest from Bayern Munich and an offer from Juventus last Sunday.
