Jamaica international Steve Malcolm has been killed in a car crash just hours after playing for his country.
The 30 year old had 76 caps for Jamaica and played for the team at the 1998 World Cup finals. He was in car with team mate Theodore Whitmore whose condition is described as comfortable after the accident i Jamaica.
Jamaica drew 0-0 with Bulgaria in Kingston last night and Malcolm still had his national team shirt on when the car he was travelling in blew a tyre and overturned near Montego Bay.
A friend of the players' - Charles Ewan - was also injured in the accident but is in a fair condition. Whitmore and Malcolm involved in car accident in 1998 in which former Jamaican international Durrent Brown was injured.
