Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert has renewed his contract with FC Barcelona.
The new deal lasts until 2006 and will help to fuel raging speculation that Barca are to sell Rivaldo next month.
One of their top two stars was to be sold off this summer to help finance transfer moves and with Kluivert stalling on talks to settle a new contract with just one year left of his current deal, he looked the likeliest player to be leaving.
Talks took place with Real Madrid, Chelsea, Inter and Liverpool with the former Ajax and AC Milan player also offered to Newcastle, Tottenham and Manchester United.
He talks with Real were confirmed in Aprl and caused an unhappy end to the season for the striker as the Barca fans turned against him but he now has a new contract at the Catalan club.
Right back Michael Reiziger has also agreed a new contract with the club.
Both deals were completed last night following a meeting between Barca president Joan Gaspart and players' agents Sigi Lens and Paul Foortse.
