Boca Juniors to sign Japan striker Takahara

Copa Libertadores champions Boca Juniors hope to seal the signing of Japanese striker Naohiro Takahara next week from Jubilo Iwata.

The two clubs have agreed the move which came after Boca coach Carlos Bianchi saw video footage of the forward in the J-League.

The 22 year old Japan international is awaiting clearance from the Argentine FA to start his contract before arriving for medicals in Buenos Aires on Tuesday.
