Juventus have sold goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar to Fulham for £7 millon.
The former Ajax Amsterdam star has signed a four year deal with the London club after going into talks with his former Dutch club last week to try and work out a move back to Holland.
Juventus spent £32 million to sign Parma AC star Gianluigi Buffon last month in a world record move for a goalkeeper and after that sort of outlay it was always likely that the Turin club would look to off load the Dutchman who was blamed for two serious mistakes last season by the Juventus club's fans.
The player will be in London tomorrow to undergo medical checks and finalise personal terms on his move to the London club.
Fulham are in the Premiership for the first time next season and start their league campaign at Manchester United on August 18th. United considered Van der Sar as a replacement for a retiring Peter Schmeichel in 1999 but the Dutchman turned down both interest from United and FC Barcelona to join Juve on a free transfer.
