Nigeria name squad for Libya trip

Nigeria have named a squad to feature in a friendly with Libya next month.

Nigeria will visit the Libyan capital of Tripoli to play on April 7th as the West African nation prepares for a 2002 World Cup qualifier away in Freetown against Sierra Leone.

The Nigeria squad will actually train in Frankfurt before the trip to Libya.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Ike Shorounmu (Besiktas) and Idah Peterside (Tessimba Classic).

Defenders - Isaac Okoronkwo (Shaktar Donetsk), Ifeanyi Udeze (PAOK Salonica), Patrick Ovie (Irony Rishon Lezion, Israel, Daniel Shittu (Charlton), Emeka Ifejiagwa (VfL Wolfsburg), Joseph Yobo (Standard Liege) and Godwin Okpara (Paris Saint Germain).

Midfielders - Garba Lawal (Roda Kerkrade), Thompson Ode (Harelbeke FC), Sunday Johnson (Kwara United), Jay-Jay Okocha (Paris Saint Germain), Bosun Ayeni (Lyngby) and Karibe Ojigwe (Bayer Leverkusen).

Strikers - Julius Aghahowa (Shakhtar Donetsk), John Otaka (Ismail), Benedict Akwuegbu (AK Graz), Bina Ajuwa (Benfica) and Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Maccabi Haifa).
