Ajax have confirmed the signing of young Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Malmo have accepted a £6 million offer made by the Dutch giants and so the 19 year old striker will be joining Ajax next summer writes Rafael Salido. The under-21 international has agreed a five year contract that will keep him with the Dutch club until 2006.
Ajax are currently having problems in attack as neither Shota Arvelazde nor Nikos Machlas are performing at their highest level and so the club want to solve this situation for the new season.
Despite his age Ibrahimovic is regarded as one of the best players in Sweden and it is not surprising that he has become the most expensive signing from the Swedish league in its history. Being 192 cm high he is a powerful header, but he is skilful with the ball at his feet too. Leo Beenhacker, the Ajax sporting manager, has compared him with Patrick Kluivert.
