Gonzalez says Juventus want him

Valencia star Kily Gonzalez says Juventus have made him an offer.

Juventus have denied an interest in the Argentine winger who signed a new five year deal last year with Valencia worth more than £14 million but the player says that while he was on international duty at a World Cup qualifier this week an agent was in touch with him from Juventus.

Juventus have been encouraged to chase Gonzelez, who plays on the left side of midfield, by the imminent departure of Valencia coach Hector Cuper in the summer.

Cuper is the major candidate to take charge at FC Barcelona in June and several of the Valencia stars could also leave with the highly-rated Argentine coach.

Valencia value Gonzalez at £40 million in his buy-out clause and he says agent Omar Sivori who has links with Juventus has made him an offer to move in the summer.

The 26 year old was not Cuper's first choice to join Valencia two years ago. Cuper asked for Dejan Stankovic but he was quoted too high a price by Mallorca so the coach turned to Zaragoza star Gonzalez.
