Bixente Lizarazu is considering moving back to Girondins Bordeaux next summer.
The veteran international left-wing back has already commented on his wish to play back in France before retiring and Girondins are to give him a chance writes Rafael Salido. In fact, Girondins was the club where the French international won himself a name when the Bordeaux team won the UEFA Cup six years ago.
Lizarazu is regarded as one of the best players in his position in Europe, but he is getting old and Bayern Munich may be interested in getting some cash while it is still possible.
Despite being 31 years old his £6 million price may still be too much for Girondins and so the French side have offered a Bonnissel-Lizarazu swap.
