Panathinaikos make offers for Cruz and Kovacevic

Panathinaikos want Yugoslav striker Darko Kovacevic on loan next season.

Kovacevic has been looking for another club for most of the season after Juventus told the striker he could leave and the Greek club are keen to bring him to Athens if their talks with Bologna to buy Argentine striker Julio Cruz for £7 million fall through.

Kovacevic is rarely used and only as a substitute by Juve but he has retained his place in the Yugoslav national team squad.
