Kewell and Viduka given Australian World Cup mission

Leeds United pair Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell will lead Australia's attack in tomorrow's World Cup play-off against Uruguay in Melbourne.

Frank Farina has named his side well ahead of kick-off and the Leeds pair are to lead his side as they look for a first leg lead against the South Americans.

A win is vital for Farina's team if they are to survive in Montevideo next weekend in the decisive leg.

Kewell scored in each of the legs of the 1997 play-off against Iran in 1997 with Australia using nine English-based players for the last two matches of World Cup qualifying.

Mark Schwarzer in goal, Kevin Muscat, Craig Moore, Shaun Murphy, captain Paul Okon, Tony Vidmar, Brett Emerton, Josip Skoko,Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell and Stan Lazaridis start for Australia tomorrow.
