Zidane wins 'Onze Mondial' award

Prestigious French football magazine 'Onze Mondial' has named Real Madrid star Zinedine Zidane as its player of the year.

Zidane moved to Madrid from Juventus for a world record £48 million and scored for the Spanish champions last night in their 3-2 win at Sparta Prague.

Readers vote for the award of Onze d'Or which went to the 29 year old French midfielder for the first time.
