Papin offered Japan team coaching job

Former OM and AC Milan star Jean Pierre Papin has been given the chance to join Japan's coaching team at the World Cup finals next year.

Japan coach Philippe Troussier has already turned to fellow Frenchman Bernard Lama produce scouting reports on opponents in the preparations for the finals next May and now Papin has been approached to work with Japanese strikers.

Papin has been trying to build a career as a coach for the past three years while Lama is not going to take up a role coaching goalkeepers for the Japan team but has been offered a supervisory position only.
