Olympique Marseille defender Frank Leboeuf says he will retire from the French national team after the 2002 World Cup finals.

The former Chelsea centre back played in the French World Cup final win over Brazil in 1998 after captain Laurent Blanc was suspended.

The 32 year old says he intends to play until 2004 with OM after signing in the summer for the French club but his career with France ends next June.
