Garces is new Chile coach

Jorge Garces is the new coach of the Chilean national team.

Garces is to take charge for the three remaining 2002 World Cup qualifiers left for Chile before trying to build a Copa America squad. He moves from Santiago Wanderers to take charge of the national team and faces Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador in his first three matches - all contenders to reach the finals.
