Czechs name World Cup squad

The Czech Republic have named their squad to take on Bulgaria for a place in the 2002 World Cup finals.

The October 6th match sees the Czechs looking to seal their place in the finals with Bulgaria also in contention to go through.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Ladislav Maier (Rapid Vienna), Pavel Srnicek (Brescia) and Petr Cech (Sparta Prague).

Defenders - Zdenek Grygera (Sparta Prague), Marek Jankulovski (Napoli), Jiri Novotny (Sparta Prague), Roman Tyce (Munich 1860), Tomas Repka (West Ham) and Tomas Ujfalusi (Hamburg).

Midfielders - Miroslav Baranek (Cologne), Jiri Jarosik (Sparta Prague), Martin Hasek (Sparta Prague), Pavel Nedved (Juventus), Tomas Rosicky (Borussia Dortmund), Karel Poborsky (Lazio) and Vladimir Smicer (Liverpool).

Strikers - Milan Baros (Banik Ostrava), Vratislav Lokvenc (Kaiserslautern), Libor Sionko (Sparta Prague) and Lukas Hartig (Sparta Prague).
