Georgia confirm World Cup squad
First Published: Sep 29, 2001Georgia have named their squad to end 2002 World Cup qualifying.
Only a win in Bucharest for the Georgians will prevent Romania from sealing a play-off place behind likely group winners Italy on October 6th.
The squad in full -
Goalkeepers - David Gvaramadze (Torpedo Kutaisi) and Gia Chanturia (Dinamo Batumi).
Defenders - Kakha Kaladze (Milan), Zurab Khizanishvili (Dundee), Otar Khizaneishvili (Rostselmash), Levan Tskitishvili, Levan Kobiashvili (both SC Freiburg), Eduard Sajaia (Torpedo Russia), Revaz Kemoklidze (Torpedo Kutaisi) and Aleksander Rekhviashvili (Skonto Riga).
