Swiss confirm squad for Russia

Switzerland have named their squad to play Russia next week.

The Swiss face group leaders Russia on October 6th with the Russians needing at least a draw to claim an automatic qualifying place for the 2002 World Cup finals.

The squad in full -

Goalkeepers - Fabrice Borer (FC Sion) and Jorg Stiel ('Gladbach).

Defenders - Bruno Berner (Grasshoppers), Bernt Haas (Sunderland), Giuseppe Mazzarelli (AS Bari), Patrick Muller (Olympique Lyonnais), Yvan Quentin (FC Zurich), Murat Yakin (FC Basel) and Marc Zellweger (FC St. Gallen).

Midfielders and strikers - Alexandre Comisetti (Servette FC), Francesco Di Jorio (FC St. Gallen), Sebastien Fournier (Servette FC), Johann Lonfat (Servette FC), Blaise N'Kufo (SV Mainz 05), David Sesa (SSC Neapel), Ciriaco Sforza (Bayern Munich), Johann Vogel (PSV Eindhoven) and Hakan Yakin (FC Basel).
