Kahn wants new Bayern Munich contract

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn says he wants to extend his contract at the European champions.

The 32 year old says he will be willing to talk over a new contract to run beyond his current 2003 deal.

Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer tells today's Welt am Sonntag' that his club will leave Munich if they cannot get planning permission for a new stadium on October 21st.

"If the town council rejects the project we'll have to look for another venue", said Bayern chairman. "The side will leave Munich".

Bayern and TSV want to build a new stadium together in the Munich suburbs but the council could reject their plans next month.
