FC Barcelona clear Rivaldo for Brazil trip this week

FC Barcelona have released Rivaldo to play for Brazil and join their training camp tomorrow.

The CBF told Rivaldo to report for training next week or risk ending his international career.

The player has been recovering from a knee strain in Brazil and returned to Barcelona fully fit again two days ago and could place against Santander in a league match on October 3rd.

The striker has been included in the Brazil squad to face Chile on October 7th and the CBF say if he does not report for training with them on Monday then he will miss the 2002 World Cup finals if Brazil manage to qualify. Rivaldo is expected back in Brazil tomorrow.
