Baggio and Italy: "Never say never," says Trapattoni

Italy coach Giovanni Trapattoni says veteran striker Roberto Baggio may be a contender for his World Cup squad.

Brescia star Baggio, 35, returned from knee surgery last week and is the subject of a massive fan and media campaign to secure his inclusion in next month's squad.

"Never say never," Trapattoni said yesterday. "Today another five strikers made their case for inclusion."

"The ideal partner for Vieri ? Inzaghi and Montella and Delvecchio is a versatile player.
