South Korea coach Guus Hiddink has named his squad for the 2002 World Cup finals.
Korea co-host the event with Japan and the competition kicks off in their capital city Seoul on May 31st.
Dutch coach Hiddink has named 23 players for the finals and barring unforeseen injuries this list will be submitted to FIFA before May 21st as his final squad.
The squad begin training on Friday on the southern island of Jeju with Anderlecht striker Seol Ki-Hyeon and Cha Doo-Ri, the son of South Korea's greatest ever player Cha Bum-Keun and coach at the 1998 World Cup finals, both included.
Veteran 33 year old Hwang Sun-Hong forward will play in his fourth World Cup finals.

Defenders - Choi Jin-Chul (Chonbuk Hyundai), Hong Myung-Bo (Pohang Steelers), Kim Tae-Young (Chunnam Dragons), Lee Min-Sung (Pusan I.cons) and Hyun Young-Min (Ulsan Hyundai).
Midfielders - Ahn Jung-Hwan (Perugia), Choi Sung-Yong (Suwon Blue Wings), Kim Nam-Il (Chunnam Dragons), Lee Eul-Yong (Bucheon SK), Lee Young-Pyo (Anyang) , Park Ji-Sung (Kyoto Purple Sanga), Song Chong-Gug (Pusan I.cons), Yoo Sang-Chul (Kashiwa Reysol) and Yoon Jong-Hwan (Cerezo Osaka).
Strikers - Cha Doo-Ri (Korea University), Choi Yong-Soo (JEF United Ichihara), Choi Tae-Uk (Anyang LG), Hwang Sun-Hong (Kashiwa Reysol), Lee Chun-Soo (Ulsan Hyundai) and Seol Ki-Hyeon (RSC Anderlecht).
