Sunderland increase interest in Urzaiz

Sunderland have raised their offer for Athletic Bilbao's Spain striker Ismael Urzaiz to try and keep him from joining FC Barcelona.

The English club are in contact with Urzaiz over a summer move to the Premiership when his contract with Bilbao ends.

Urzaiz can leave Athletic as a free agent with Barca the former favourites to sign the burly forward.
