Alpay to miss rest of Villa season

Aston Villa have ruled Turkish centre back Alpay out for the rest of the season.

The defender is now a doubt for Turkey's World Cup finals squad which is to be confirmed by May 23rd.

Alpay is in his second season with the Birmingham club and has been suffering with an ankle injury. He will return to Turkey on Friday for a second operation on the problem next week.
