Veron says he will stay at United

Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron says he is staying at the club.

Veron is a target for former club SS Lazio who sold him to United in July but he told MUTV that he intended to stay with the Premiership leaders:

"It hasn't entered my head to leave Manchester United.

"I don't think even in three months I will want to leave. I know I'm at a big club. Manchester United is an institution and I'm happy here".

Veron said he did not know what Lazio's plans were:

"I'm not sure why this is. Maybe it's because they have realized they made a mistake in selling me.

"I think, seriously, you can put it down to the fact Lazio is a club that isn't going through a good time at the moment," concluded Veron.
