Sunderland sign Swedish defender Bjorklund

Sunderland are signing Swedish defender Joachim Bjorklund from Venezia.

The £2 million for ther former Valencia player is to go through later this week with medical tests although the transfer may be delayed by Bjorklund's wife's pregnancy as she is due to give birth in the next ten days.
