Turkey coach Senol Gunes says mistakes cost his side a place in their first ever World Cup final.
"We made fewer mistakes this time than in the first game against Brazil but we still made mistakes going forward when we lost possession," said Gunes as his side suffered their second defeat by Brazil at the tournament.
A 49th minute Ronaldo goal won the semi final with Brazil scoring a 2-1 win over Gunes’ side in their opening game of the tournament back on June 3rd.
"It was a little bit our lack of experience at this stage, but also because of the tension back home in Turkey that put pressure on my players and led to mistakes."
"We are only sorry that we couldn't give the Turkish people a place in the final," Gunes said.
"Brazil are a good side with many talented players, but I think they were a bit intimidated by our strength. The final against Germany will be relatively easy for them."
