Brazil star Ronaldo says he has forgotten about the traumas that wrecked his World Cup final for Brazil four years ago.
The striker suffered a seizure which has never been fully explained ahead of the Paris final and was only included in the starting line-up which lost to France 3-0 after the team sheet had been published showing Edmundo in the sick forward’s place.
But the top scorer at this year’s finals with 6 goals says he is only interested in tomorrow’s Yokohama final against Germany.
"I'm doing well," he said. "I'm calm. I'm not thinking about what happened to me in 98. I keep forgetting about it and then for some reason everybody wants to remind me again.
"I'm not doing anything special to stay relaxed. I've found tranquillity among the group. Therefore, I haven't had to search for it.
"The other players don't make me feel like 'the saviour of the team' and that takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders. This time, everybody is sharing the burden equally.
"And in general, the feeling that we have here is totally different to the atmosphere there was in France. As a group we have simply found it a pleasure to be here."
