Danish international goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen says he wants to quit Sunderland and play for Arsenal.
"The first thing I have to concentrate on is securing Sunderland's Premiership place for another season, and I am confident we will do that," said Sorensen.
"But beyond that, my ambition is very clear. I want to be playing at the top end of The Premiership, challenging for the title if possible. Certainly for a place in Europe, at least.
"I have heard nothing definite about the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United," said the Dane who has spent the last three years at Sunderland.
Arsenal want a new permanent replacement for veteran David Seaman in goal and are looking across Europe for another custodian.
