Good and bad news for struggling Serie A side Fiorentina.
Portuguese striker Nuno Gomes has rejected a loan move to Tottenham for the rest of this season but there are more management changes ahead for the club in financial administration.
Gomes has decided to stay at the Florence club but could be a summer target for Tottenham..
"I know about the offer from Tottenham, that they want me for the rest of the season," Gomes told Radio Renaissance in Florence.
"But I will continue to play with Fiorentina until the end of the current season."
Chairman Ugo Poggi is to leave though after making his latest threat to quit.
The board of directors has seen club owner Cecchi Gori delay payment of $6 million to help pay players' wages and will meet next week to decide on their next course of action but Poggi is again saying he is to quit in frustration
