Wanchope needs to shake off injury ahead of World Cup

Costa Rica striker Paulo Wanchope will miss the next month of the season.

A knee injury rules Wanchope out from Manchester City's bid to clinch promotion back to the Premiership in the next few weeks.

But the striker is expected to be fit to play for Costa Rica in the World Cup finals and has been sent for treatment to cure his knee problem in the US.
